Amazing view, crazy infinity pool, nice and calm but still just a 15 minutes walk from the port where many good and very priceworthy restaurants are located. The cleaning was exceptional. We stayed in may, when the town is very calm, along with the beaches and the restaurants. The genuine people all over Ios really makes it stand out compared to Santorini. Best of all was our hosts, really amazing people, never met so kind and caring hosts, can’t thank them enough for making our stay the best it could be.

FAQs about hotels in Ios Chora
On average, it costs $122 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Ios Chora for tonight. You'll pay around $164 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Ios Chora will cost around $228, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Ios Chora is the main town on the island of Ios. It's full of friendly local people, and a mix of expats who have made their homes there, or who visit year after year because of the island's ambience. My stay was over the Easter period, which in itself is a marvelous opportunity to observe or partake in the ages-old traditions of the Greek Orthodox religion. Later in the year, as the temperatures heat up, the town welcomes a much younger crowd, as bars and nightclubs open up to transform Ios into "party island"!

Ios is a beautiful island.
Ios is a beautiful island. The beaches, the food, the people, the buildings, the scenery, the nightlife, the chill factor but most of all the overall vibe is the best of any of the Greek islands I have visited and I can’t wait to go back there. The boat trip taking you to the 6 beaches is amazing with snorkelling thrown in. The square and its bars is a must. Sunsets in various location are stunning and the local traditional restaurants provide amazing food at reasonable prices

October was a very out of season time to visit Ios, most bars, restaurants and shops were closed so there was not much to do in the main town. The buses had stopped doing all routes apart from 3 stops.

Chora is the only one village on the whole island, very pitoresc and full of small streets with lot of shops, bars and restaurants. There are a number of beaches on the Island, worth to visit and very good accessible by car. best of all for sure the Koumbara Bay with the perfect sunbeds and great service, not cheap but worth each penny!
Hotel Petradi is located in the middle of IOS Chora and Milopotas beach, it’s great for the best of both worlds. The view from the patio and Balcony is outstanding and the staff are absolutely outstanding, shout out to Anastasia and Mr Johnson.
We arrived super early (7:45am) and the hotel offered a complimentary pick up from the port, which really started our stay off on a positive note. They also gave us a complimentary breakfast whilst we waited for our room, the breakfast was fabulous and we really appreciated this kindness.
The accommodation was beautiful, clean, but at the same time very small, which we initially did not understand from the photos. (Our mistake). The breakfasts were smaller in size, but tasty. The only downside was the insects. Since the hotel is near a not-so-clean harbor and has many flowers, you have to expect that you might occasionally encounter a larger bug in your room. However, this is not due to the cleanliness of the hotel, but rather the location. Chora itself was full of pests and cockroaches.
Very convenient location, 6 minute walk from the ferry, it couldn’t have been closer! This hotel is so clean and everything about it is so well done. Service we received was excellent from Panos, who helped arrange our extremely after hours check in with easy to follow instructions and videos. Also the amazing drinks at the pool made by Odi were fantastic. The helpful suggestions from Margherita really made our day great. I highly recommend this place.
The pool was clean and the top rooms had an incredible view. We stayed in some higher rated accomodation afterwards but nothing compared to the view we had from our room in this hotel. As for the hygiene, we were extremely concerned prior to booking our stay due to the reviews. By no means is it a 5 star hotel but it definitely isn’t as bad as the reviews make it out to be. For sure coming back here next year and booking a longer stay.
Annerie and Chris are an awesome couple! They went out of their way to show us the town, give us a few amazing suggestions and recommendations, and make our time on Ios as memorable as possible. Their small hotel is beautiful, with spotless rooms, good breakfast, and a breathtaking infinity pool and sundeck. They run an incredible hotel, and their hospitality and kindness was a highlight of our honeymoon to Greece!
Such a lovely vibe and atmosphere at the hotel, free sun loungers, lovely restaurant attached great staff. Lovely pool, amazing value for money extra bed in our room lovely balcony. Very comfortable stay, staff lovely would 100% recommend great location near the port would definitely come back! Parking nearby for quad bikes and lovely cafes near.
Best view in Greece! Pool had a bar with drinks and food for very reasonable prices and great music. The place looked beautiful. The staff were SO helpful, Caliagos dropped us to port and town when we needed it and he told us about all the good spots. Rooms were exactly what we needed and expected for the price.
Very nicely situated in front of the beach, close to everything, very charming place, nicely flowered with a very nice swimming pool, also all the staff are pleasant and kind, private parking, we had car, i was amazed even tough i know Greece and the islands very well since years.
If I need to choose I would say that this hotel has two main strengths: Service and outdoor/common area. The staff is amazingly prepared and kind. Breakfast was amazing, by far the best we had during our vacations in Greece this year.
The staff was very polite. The location is great. We had a room with a direct sea view and a huge balcony with two chairs and a sun umbrella. Sunbeds at the beach are free for hotel tenants (7 euros per sunbed in the opposite case).
We fell in love with Ios and the main reason of it is Petra village and its staff. We stayed 4 days but it wasn’t enough for this beautiful hotel and island. We recommend to anyone who is looking for an unforgettable stay.
The location, room, pool, view , Breakfast and above all the hosts Chris and Annerie could not have been any better
A home from home where we completely felt relaxed , for sure we will be returning to this hotel!
Small hotel within walking distance of the port and beach, perfect for a few nights stay away from the main town. Lovely terrace to have breakfast on. Excellent value - we would stay here again!
This is such a beautiful hotel! Excellent service! The hotel staff have all been very helpful and friendly. The food is tasty and at the breakfast has a variety of options. Good size pool. 10*
For the price of this hotel, my friends and I were impressed with the cleanliness and overall style of the hotel. The pool is stunning and has a cute bar next to it, the staff are generous.
The location of the hotel was one of the closest to Chora. The rooms were New, clean, and spacious and the staff was super friendly. Worth the price, would 10000% recommend!
Enjoyed sunset view from hotel, perfect pool.
Friendly host.
visiting nice places on the island which was advised by the host. Very helpful!
